The ultimate green playlist
What better way to break the silence left in the city by electric scooters than to take your smartphone and listen to some music? There is nothing more relaxing, which makes you unwind than taking a few minutes for yourself and throwing yourself elsewhere while you are on your lunch break when you take your dog out in the evening or during the morning runs.

However, if you too are tired of the usual love songs and you are looking for more original tunes, which can make you think about the environment, a theme which is dear to us all, here is the playlist dedicated to green-addicted like you.

  • La punta dell’iceberg (Eugenio in Via di Gioia): in this song by this Italian indie band the contrast between the joy of the melody and the apocalyptic reality described in the text is the perfect representation of the historical moment in which we live, divided between the most profligate waste and the awareness that, if we continue on this path, by 2050 "all the glaciers of the poles at the edge of the world will be melted". And if this provokes the disappearance of the Maldives, Venice and the Netherlands, not bad: we will all go to Sardinia on holiday. Irreverently ironic.
  • Lettera al prossimo (Eugenio in Via di Gioia): this Italian group has made its declaration of intent on the environmental issue, so much so that it has dedicated an entire album to the theme (it's called Natura Viva, go and listen to it). Lettera al prossimo, as realistic as it is bitter, describes the apathetic resignation that many have in the face of man's self-destruction. But things are changing and the mantra that recurs in the passage invites us to watch, even concretely, all together on Earth. A song that becomes action.
  • Indian summer sky (U2): Bono Vox, trapped in the New York metropolitan jungle, sings about the desire to return to a simpler and more organic life as if the grip of concrete and asphalt were lost and the very heart of the Earth warmed for a moment. To rediscover the essence of the planet.
  • Don’t go near the water (The Beach Boys): at the peak of their career, made up of catchy and carefree hits, the Beach Boys record this song that denounces the carelessness of people who violate nature, in particular the water of oceans, rivers, lakes, full of poisons and created bubbles from toothpaste and soaps (if only those were the problems of the seas, right now...). 40 years after its release, this song has never been so relevant. An evergreen that makes you think.
  • Running with the wolves (Aurora): if you are looking for a way to escape from the daily chaos, this song will give you 4 minutes of total freedom. The very Norwegian songwriter talks about the desire to return to nature, run free, without constraints, leave at home the smartphone, and all the distractions that make the days go by too quickly. Escape from your smartphone.

These are just some of the songs we hum when we get home on our e-scooters. What are your favourite tunes dedicated to the environment?
